Wasn't that in the book "Revelation - It's Bland Climax at Hand!"?
I don't see it on their website. After all the fuss they make in that book about how those Cedar Point crapventions 80 or so years ago were trumpet blasts that Christendom could never ignore. It sure makes it easier for "the world" to ignore "WT's fulfillment of bible prophecy" when WT Corp makes publications like that disappear.

It's typically horrible WT artwork.
Conceptually, I was troubled by the notion presented here that after 1000 years of "perfection in paradise", such a vast majority of humans would jump at this chance at throwing off "divine rulership" and return to "following the rebellious course of Satan".
"Paradise" must actually be so disappointing and unhappifying that very few would choose to "stay by the water".
Any guesses what the "rebels" are chanting? I'm thinking, "Give us back our hamburgers and Internet porn!"

Welcome!
we received a text from the elders to say they believed we were celebrating Christmas ( I think the lights on the outside of my house gave it away)!!!
Did the lights outside your house happen to spell out something like... "Thank you Santa for helping me escape from an abusive cult!" ?

You have to be strong
by troubled mind instanding up for yourself, and deciding to follow your own path takes strength .
you have to be strong especially if you were raised in a way of life that dictated so much of who you were .
while being raised as a jehovah's witness i was taught to follow ,unquestionally follow .i was told to put others before myself ,serve, don't stand out ,don't be independent .

you know they were very hurt when you left the Witnesses ,and I was really hurt too !
All things considered, that's some ridiculously low pain tolerance. Translation: "Well I'm hurt that you didn't keep wasting your life doing sh!t that I don't waste my time doing."
And as a JW is wasn't just wasting time and energy trying to make other people happy. It was also wasting time and energy, passing up opportunities for education and relationships, etc. in order to make an invisible Bronze Age desert god happy. A fictional sky-daddy that is never, ever happy.

And the surprising thing is that these stacks of ragazines aren't getting placed... AND THEY'RE GIVING THEM AWAY!
Back in the olden days, the householder had to decide whether the magazines were worth a nickel, dime, or quarter. Now the publishers offer them without cost and the householder just has to decided whether they want to reach for the magazine. Clearly, they're deciding not to.
Like I've said before, if the JWs want to get those magazines, tracts, brochures, and books off their shelves and into the hands of householders, they need to change their presentation:
Publisher: Good morning. Could you do me a favor and throw this in the recycling or trash for me? [Hold out publication and allow for response]
Householder: Um, okay. [Takes publication and heads toward trashcan]
Publisher: Thanks so much. Have a nice day!
Householder: Okay, bye.

GB member Geoffrey Jackson is lying!
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inokay, i know the royal commission hasn't started yet.
but i'm confident enough that he will be telling some whoppers.
so i thought i'd be the first to get a thread started for something that will begin... very soon now!.

alcyone: It was explicitly stated in the letter elders should not apologize to those df'ed based on previous understanding when they ask for reinstating.
Wow. A copy of that needs to go to the Royal Commission.
Heaven: They need the secular authorities to force them to report the sexual abuse of a child because their interpretation of an ancient scripture is prohibiting them to do this.
He kept insisting that "family" was a divine institution that they couldn't overstep in order to protect children. This from the religion that has a rich and embarrassing history of 'bedroom laws', enforces draconian shunning practices that destroy families, and instruct dubs to report any anti-WT 'thought crimes' expressed by even the closest family member. And then they claim that they view child sexual abuse as a terrible crime? In reality, they view the worst criminals to be anyone who dares to point out their lies and false prophecies.

They don't have time to examine the validity of WT teachings. They're too busy on the "JW treadmill to nowhere."
"Julie, I don't think we're really going anywhere."
"Shut up and run faster Kathy! We're making great time and if we run a little faster, we'll be there "very soon"!

When she was asked, didn't "Dr." Applewhite say she thought the ragazines were published twice a year?
Maybe they should take her suggestion and reduce publication to two issues per year. For two reasons:
- It would save money and trees.
- At least one thing the "Dr." said before the ARC could be considered true.
